Interview Abstract

In this interview, Tracy Price Green recalls her childhood in Historic Washington Heights in the 1960s and 1970s. Her family moved to the neighborhood around 1950 where her Dad built their family home on Booker Avenue. She describes the activities that her and her friends would do when they were teenagers. These activities include going to the Ritz Theater, Flower Garden Club, and eating at a local restaurant Chicken & Ribs. She mentions the close-knit community while growing up in Historic Washington Heights. Tracy recounts the change in the neighborhood after returning from college. She finishes the interview by describing her vision for the revitalization of Historic Washington Heights.
